Special lecture on the book ‘Modi@20’ held at MANUU

Hyderabad:

‘We are trapped in multiple identities. But where is our national identity? It is very easy to criticize but very difficult to provide constructive criticism. This politics of baseless allegations must end. The PM has taken hard not populist decisions’ said Dr. A.K. Verma, Director, Centre for the Study of Society and Politics, Kanpur during his lecture at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), Hyderabad today. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor presided over.

He delivered a special lecture on the book ‘Modi@20: When Dreams Meet Delivery’ The UGC-Human Resources Development Centre (UGC-HRDC) at MANUU organized the Lecture “An Iconic Perspective on the book entitled Modi@20 - Dreams Meet Delivery”.

Dr. Verma said that the Prime Minister is a symbol of optimism for the poor and the subaltern, that explains the winning spree of the prime minister. We have terrible problems, but the prime minister is generating hope for the ordinary people like no one else’, he added.

Speaking on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor said NEP will make education more vocation oriented and people-centric. ‘I belong to Varanasi the constituency of the honourable Prime Minister’ added MANUU VC.

Professor Tahseen Bilgrami, Director, UGC-HRDC said that the book Modi@20 underlines the fundamental transformations that have been witnessed over the years.

The occasion also marked the end of a two week Refresher programme in Computer Science & Information Technology (CS&IT) that was attended by participants from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Earlier, two week long refresher course in Political Science and Public Administration ended yesterday at UGC-HRDC, MANUU. Prof. Muthaiah Muralidhar, Principal, College of Art, Venkateshwara University, Tirupati addressed the valedictory session. Participants from the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal were enrolled for the course.

Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing Five day online workshop “Language Development” for Urdu medium & Madrasa Teachers from August 22 to 26.
