Admissions in Part Time Ph.D. Programmes at MANUU

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is offering admissions in Part time Doctoral programs in Sponsored Self-financing Mode at Hyderabad campus. The last date for online submission of application forms is February 17, 2023.

According to Prof. M. Vanaja, Director, Directorate of Admissions, part time Phd programs are available under School of Commerce and Business Management, School of Sciences, School of Technology, School of Education & Training and H.K. Sherwani Centre for Deccan Studies.

MANUU awards PhD to Tabasum Hassan

Hyderabad:

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has declared Ms. Tabasum Hassan, D/o Mr. Gh. Hassan Ganaie qualified in Doctor of Philosophy in Urdu. She has worked on the topic “Ekkisween Sadi ke Urdu Naveloun ka Fanni aur Mauzati Mutalia (2001-2018)” (A thematic & technical study of Urdu Novels of 21st Century (2001-2018)) under the supervision of Dr. Bi Bi Raza Khatoon, Associate Professor, Department of Urdu. The Viva-Voce was conducted on 13-01-2023.

 

MANUU holds Symposium on Curriculum Needs of Children with Intellectual Disability

Hyderabad:

The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today organized a one-day symposium on “Curriculum Needs of Children with Intellectual Disability” under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) funded project entitled “Adaptive Assistive System for Children with Moderate Intellectual Disability”.

Prof. Abdul Wahid, Chief Investigator of the project & Dean School of Technology presided over the symposium. He urged special schools and organizations working in this domain to collaborate with the project for their valuable input and feedback.

Experts from various organizations from across the country gave valuable feedback regarding the curriculum and pedagogical needs of the special children. They also have vetted the content developed by the project team.

Dr. Shilpa Manogna from the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities while appreciating the drafting of the content advised the team to look at the practical implications of the project. Smt. VRP Sheilaja Rao, former HoD, NIEPID extended her support throughout.  Prof. Amitav Mishra, IGNOU, New Delhi and Dr. Kamaraj, NIEPMD, Chennai, recommended the team to perform a pilot study before proceeding to the other tasks.

The project is the first of its kind in the University and was launched on 10 February 2022. It aims to develop a web and mobile-based application for teaching-learning and assessment-evaluation of children with moderate intellectual disability.
