MANUU Entrance Starts from Today

Hyderabad:  Maulana Azad National Urdu University is conducting entrance tests for admission into its various regular courses from July 5 to 7 in two sessions - Forenoon 10.00 am to 12.00 noon and Afternoon 2.00 to 4.00 pm. Entrance tests are being held for the programmes Ph.D., MBA; MCA; M. Tech. (Computer Science), M.Ed., B.Ed., D.El.Ed. and Polytechnic Diplomas.

 

According to Dr. Zair Hussain, Controller of Examinations, the entrance test is being conducted at 20 Exam Centres across the country. They include at Asansol (W.B), Aurangabad (M.S), Bengaluru (KS), Bhopal (MP), Bidar (KS), Cuttack (Odisha), Darbhanga (Bihar), Delhi, Jammu, Kadapa (A.P.), Kishanganj (Bihar), Lucknow (U.P), Nuh (Haryana), Patna (Bihar), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Sambhal (UP), Siwan (Bihar), Srinagar (J&K) and Varanasi (UP) apart from University headquarters Hyderabad.

 

According to Prof. Mohd. Moshahid, Superintendent, entrance tests at Hyderabad, the entrance will be conducted in the School of Education and Training Building, MANUU Campus. Candidates are advised to bring hall ticket, original identity card, blue/black ball point pen along with them. Candidates without mask shall not be permitted inside the exam hall. As Covid 19 precautionary measure, students may bring their own water in transparent bottles. He also advised to the candidates to arrive at the examination center one hour before the scheduled time to avoid any inconvenience.

 

Meanwhile, online admissions into merit based regular P.G. courses are open till August 30, 2022. Details about merit based courses are available in e-prospectus at university website manuu.edu.in. 

 

Hidden Gems of MANUU shine again

 Hyderabad: The Drama Club of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, held its third open mic event “Ignited Minds” on Saturday at Mah Laqa Bai Amphitheatre. Students from different schools of the University took part. The purpose of this programme is to provide a platform for hidden talent and bring it to the front of the University. This time, students came forward with mime, storytelling, folk song, stand-up comedy, and much more.

 

Mr Meraj Ahmad, Cultural Coordinator of MANUU explained that, "The open mic event provides a platform for the promotion of raw talents, thus aiming to showcase more of such hidden gems. This is basically an opportunity given to the students to portray the diverse culture of India in MANUU." He further said that this is a monthly event organised on the first Saturday of every month in the University Amphitheatre.

 

The programme started with the poem ‘A Ride to Heaven’ by Fatma Sajda Khanam of Management Department, then Ashraf came forward with a solo mime act, Mateen Ashraf with a heart touching short story on the current scenario named ‘Lamakan’, Talha Mannan with a poetry named “Aseeron Ke Naam”. Mazhar and Misbah presented a duo comedy performance ‘Flop Show’, Abdul Khadir shed some light on the suicidal tendencies among students with mono acting. Abrar and Khumail Khan brought laughter with their stand-up comedy act, Suhrab Alam presented the pain of a shepherd of not being literate in the form of a folk song in a Bihari dialect Angika and finally, the University drama club presented a mime about the over use of Mobile Phones.
